The New Patient Exam sets us apart from most dental practices, because we spend unrushed time with you making sure we understand your wants and needs. At the same time you will get to know who we are. You will be assigned an advocate: A highly skilled staff person who will make sure your treatment is properly coordinated and that you are as comfortable as possible while you are here. One of our clinical assistants will take the necessary records which may include x-rays, photos, teeth molds and a blood pressure reading. Then Dr. Birdwell or Dr. Wright will complete the examination of teeth, gums, jaw musculature, soft tissues, and bite analysis. If there are esthetic concerns, a smile analysis will also be done incorporating our Smile Vision imaging software.
At the second visit, Dr. Birdwell or Dr. Wright will present an individualized treatment plan following a review of all the records gathered at the initial visit. For many patients, simple procedures such as fillings and hygiene re-care visits are all that are necessary. Others may require more comprehensive restorative care. And more and more Americans are placing cosmetic dentistry at the top of their self improvement list. The reason so many people are doing so is because of the affordability of beautiful, long- lasting cosmetic dentistry.
